{"id":1047,"date":"2014-11-03T10:44:14","date_gmt":"2014-11-03T10:44:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.acg.edu\/web\/blackboard\/?page_id=1047"},"modified":"2025-02-24T16:21:24","modified_gmt":"2025-02-24T16:21:24","slug":"online-tests-quizzes","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/web.acg.edu\/web\/blackboard\/online-tests-quizzes\/","title":{"rendered":"Online Tests, Quizzes &amp; Surveys &#8211; Original"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Tests and\u00a0Quizzes<\/h3>\n<p>In this area you are able to take a test or a quiz your instructor has added.<\/p>\n<h3>How to take a Test<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>To take or retake a test,<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"> in case your instructor has permitted it<\/span>, visit the corresponding area within the course to locate it (i.e. Tests menu item).<\/li>\n<li>Click on the <em>name<\/em> of the test to enter its environment\u00a0and carefully read the instructions.<\/li>\n<li>When you are ready, click &#8220;<strong>Begin&#8221;<\/strong> to start your test.<\/li>\n<li>While in the <strong>Take Test<\/strong> page, follow the instructions and answer the given questions. In case the test is timed, you will view a <strong>timer<\/strong> that counts down.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Clear multiple-choice selection<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 When taking a test that associates negative points to incorrect answer choices you may want to clear that selection from a multiple-choice question and leave it blank. Click you answer one more time to clear your choice.<\/li>\n<li>Blackboard Learn is able to save the individual answers you provided.<\/li>\n<li>When you finish, click &#8220;<strong>Save and Submit&#8221;.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>You will receive a confirmation pop-up message asking you if you are ready to submit the test.<\/li>\n<li>Click &#8220;<strong>OK<\/strong><strong>&#8221; <\/strong>if you are ready.<\/li>\n<li>Then, follows a receipt page &#8212;<strong>Test Submitted<\/strong>&#8212; stating that the test is completed and submitted to the instructor.<\/li>\n<li>Click &#8220;<strong>OK&#8221;<\/strong> to review the detailed information relevant to the submitted test.<\/li>\n<li>Again, when you finish, click &#8220;<strong>OK&#8221;<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>How to view\u00a0a submitted Test<\/h3>\n<p>Once you submit a test it is possible to review the submission in case the instructor has released the results and if the test is graded or not (Automatic grading and results) .<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If the test is graded, you are able to view the results via the <strong>\u00a0&#8220;Grades&#8221;<\/strong>. Click the name of the test for detailed information.<\/li>\n<li>In case the test is available, access it by re-visiting the test from the area that it is located (i.e. Tests menu item). Again, click the <em>title<\/em> of the test and then click Begin to enter. Hit the &#8220;<strong>View All Attempts&#8221;<\/strong> to review it.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Best Practices when taking a test<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Disable <strong>pop-up<\/strong> blockers (For more details please click <a title=\"Solutions and Answers\" href=\"http:\/\/www.acg.edu\/web\/blackboard\/frequently-asked-questions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here<\/a> to be redirected to the Solutions &amp; Answers page containing all the information on how to disable pop-up blockers in every browser<strong>\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Please check if you have allowed all the needed cookies.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Use hardwired connection<\/strong>. Please note that it is best to take tests from a stable connection and not from WiFi as you may experience connectivity issues and possibly lose all the test data due to a disconnection.<\/li>\n<li><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Don&#8217;t open multiple Blackboard windows<\/span><\/strong>, as it may create problems in the submission of the test.<\/li>\n<li>Make sure you have performed <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>all of the updates<\/strong><\/span> on your operating system and that your computer is malware and virus free.<\/li>\n<li>Clear your browser&#8217;s cache. Surveys are not graded.
