For interactions with students, Journals and Discussions provide similar alternatives.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Blogs<\/em> <\/strong>are an effective means of sharing knowledge and materials created and collected by the group in the course. It may include any combination of text, images, links, multimedia, attachments etc. You can post entries and add comments to existing blogs. There are course blogs where everyone is allowed to comment and contribute and there also group blogs that address the participants of a specific blog. Any course member can read and comment on a group blog, but cannot make entries if they are not a member of the Group. Only your instructor can create a blog, but after creation, you can post blog entries. If you are removed from a course, you will not have access to any blogs.<\/p>\n<h3>Access a Blog &amp; Create a Blog Entry<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>On the course menu, click<strong> <em>Tools<\/em><\/strong>. On the Tools page, select\u00a0<strong><em>Blogs<\/em><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>On the <strong>Blogs<\/strong> listing page, click the name of the blog you want to access.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.acg.edu\/web\/blackboard\/files\/2014\/11\/capture-29-fixed.png\" rel=\"lightbox-0\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignbottom size-full wp-image-3166\" src=\"http:\/\/www.acg.edu\/web\/blackboard\/files\/2014\/11\/capture-29-fixed.png\" alt=\"capture-29-fixed\" width=\"157\" height=\"208\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The blog topics appear in alphabetical order on the <strong>Blogs<\/strong> page.\u00a0 Following each blog title, view if the blog belongs to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>A group<\/strong> &#8211; Group members are selected from the instructor. All group members can make blog entries and comments.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The course<\/strong> &#8211; All enrolled users.\u00a0 All enrolled users can create blog entries and add comments.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Individual<\/strong> &#8211; Only the owner of a blog can create blog entries. All other enrolled users can view and add comments.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Create a blog entry using the\u00a0Create Blog Entry button<\/h3>\n<p>To create a <strong>Blog Entry <\/strong>follow the steps:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Click <strong>Blogs<\/strong> on the <strong>Course<\/strong> <strong>Tools<\/strong> menu.<\/li>\n<li>Click the blog you wish to enter.<\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>Create<\/strong> <strong>Blog<\/strong> <strong>Entry<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Type a <strong>Title<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Enter the text in the <strong>Entry<\/strong> <strong>Message<\/strong> text box.<\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>Post<\/strong> <strong>Entry<\/strong> <strong>as<\/strong> <strong>Anonymous<\/strong> if appropriate.<\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>Browse<\/strong> <strong>My<\/strong> <strong>Computer<\/strong> to attach a file to the entry.<\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>Post<\/strong> <strong>Entry<\/strong> OR <strong>Save<\/strong> <strong>Entry<\/strong> <strong>as<\/strong> <strong>Draft<\/strong> to save the entry for later posting. These drafts can be viewed by clicking View Drafts from the blog page of the specific blog.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.acg.edu\/web\/blackboard\/files\/2019\/10\/creaate-blog-entry1.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox-1\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-4582\" src=\"http:\/\/www.acg.edu\/web\/blackboard\/files\/2019\/10\/creaate-blog-entry1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"423\" height=\"406\" srcset=\"https:\/\/web.acg.edu\/web\/blackboard\/files\/2019\/10\/creaate-blog-entry1.jpg 697w, https:\/\/web.acg.edu\/web\/blackboard\/files\/2019\/10\/creaate-blog-entry1-300x288.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 423px) 100vw, 423px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>If you want to attach files in your blog there are three ways:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Browse My Computer<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Cloud storage integration\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Drag and drop files<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.acg.edu\/web\/blackboard\/files\/2019\/10\/creaate-blog-entry.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox-2\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-4581\" src=\"http:\/\/www.acg.edu\/web\/blackboard\/files\/2019\/10\/creaate-blog-entry.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"537\" height=\"104\" srcset=\"https:\/\/web.acg.edu\/web\/blackboard\/files\/2019\/10\/creaate-blog-entry.jpg 1406w, https:\/\/web.acg.edu\/web\/blackboard\/files\/2019\/10\/creaate-blog-entry-300x58.jpg 300w, https:\/\/web.acg.edu\/web\/blackboard\/files\/2019\/10\/creaate-blog-entry-768x149.jpg 768w, https:\/\/web.acg.edu\/web\/blackboard\/files\/2019\/10\/creaate-blog-entry-1024x198.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 537px) 100vw, 537px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In Blackboard, Blogs consist of two parts:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Blog entries<\/strong>: Text, links, images, multimedia, mash-ups and attachments added by course member that are open for comments.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Comments<\/strong>: Responses to these entries made by other course members.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For information on how to use the VTBE , click\u00a0<a title=\"Adding content via content editor (VTBE)\" href=\"http:\/\/www.acg.edu\/web\/blackboard\/adding-content-via-content-editor-vtbe\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>Comments on Blogs<\/h3>\n<p>To comment on a <strong>Blog Entry<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Navigate to<strong> Tools<\/strong> &gt; <strong>Blogs<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>While on the Blog listing page, select a <strong>Blog<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>While inside the selected Blog, press the <strong>Comment<\/strong> button located at the end of a users entry to reveal the comment box.<\/li>\n<li>Write your comment.<\/li>\n<li>Press <strong>Add<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.acg.edu\/web\/blackboard\/files\/2014\/11\/Blog.png\" rel=\"lightbox-3\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignbottom size-full wp-image-2795\" title=\"Blog\" src=\"http:\/\/www.acg.edu\/web\/blackboard\/files\/2014\/11\/Blog.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"556\" height=\"468\" srcset=\"https:\/\/web.acg.edu\/web\/blackboard\/files\/2014\/11\/Blog.png 556w, https:\/\/web.acg.edu\/web\/blackboard\/files\/2014\/11\/Blog-300x252.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 556px) 100vw, 556px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>View and modify Drafts \u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.acg.edu\/web\/blackboard\/files\/2019\/10\/creaate-blog-entry2.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox-4\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-4580 alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/www.acg.edu\/web\/blackboard\/files\/2019\/10\/creaate-blog-entry2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"315\" height=\"49\" srcset=\"https:\/\/web.acg.edu\/web\/blackboard\/files\/2019\/10\/creaate-blog-entry2.jpg 399w, https:\/\/web.acg.edu\/web\/blackboard\/files\/2019\/10\/creaate-blog-entry2-300x47.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 315px) 100vw, 315px\" \/><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In the creation of a Blog Entry you have the option to <strong>Save<\/strong> <strong>Entry<\/strong> <strong>as<\/strong> <strong>Draft<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>This option instead of publishing the blog entry, it saves it for later use.<\/li>\n<li>To access a Draft, navigate to the Blog page and click the <strong>View Drafts<\/strong> button.<\/li>\n<li>While inside the <strong>Drafts<\/strong> page, you can see all blog entries that you saved as drafts and modify them or publish them.<\/li>\n<li>In order to access a draft, click on it.<\/li>\n<li>While inside you can modify it and save it again as a draft by clicking the <strong>Save<\/strong> <strong>Entry<\/strong> <strong>as<\/strong> <strong>Draft<\/strong> button or publish it by clicking <strong>Post Entry<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>View Blog Information and Details<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The information about the blog can be found on the right page of your screen.<\/li>\n<li>If you click the <strong>Blog Details<\/strong>, you can reveal details about your blog. These details are:\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Author<\/strong>: Who created this blog.(If it is a group blog the user has to select the author he\/she wants to see)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Type<\/strong>: Type of the blog.
