Students within the group can post to the Blog and add comments to existing posts. Instructors can also comment on posts.<\/p>\n<p>To add a Blog visit the <strong>Control<\/strong> <strong>Panel, <\/strong>then\u00a0\u00a0<strong>Course<\/strong> <strong>Tools, <\/strong>then\u00a0\u00a0<strong>Blogs<\/strong> and click <strong>Create Blog<\/strong>, while the <strong>Edit<\/strong> mode is <strong>ON<\/strong>. Fill in the name, type the message, modify the availability, date and time restrictions, blog participation and settings according to your needs and then click <strong>Submit<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>To create a <strong>Blog:<\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.acg.edu\/web\/blackboard\/files\/2014\/07\/Blogs.png\" rel=\"lightbox-0\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-2735 alignright\" title=\"Blogs\" src=\"http:\/\/www.acg.edu\/web\/blackboard\/files\/2014\/07\/Blogs.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"279\" height=\"108\" srcset=\"https:\/\/web.acg.edu\/web\/blackboard\/files\/2014\/07\/Blogs.png 577w, https:\/\/web.acg.edu\/web\/blackboard\/files\/2014\/07\/Blogs-300x116.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 279px) 100vw, 279px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Make sure the Edit Mode is ON.<\/li>\n<li>Navigate to <strong>Course Menu<\/strong> &gt; <strong>Course Management<\/strong> &gt;<strong> Course Tools <\/strong>&gt;<strong> Blogs<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>While on the Blogs page, click <strong>Create Blog<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>In the <strong>Create Blog<\/strong> page, type a name for the blog you are going to create and an optional description.<\/li>\n<li>Set the Blog Availability to Yes to make the blog available to students.<\/li>\n<li>In the <strong>Blog Date and Time Restrictions<\/strong> select how long you want the blog to be available.<\/li>\n<li>In the <strong>Blog Participation<\/strong> field, select either Individual to all students or Course. Optionally, select <strong>Allow Anonymous Comments<\/strong> .<\/li>\n<li>In the <strong>Blog Settings<\/strong> field, select Monthly or Weekly entries and optionally check <strong><label for=\"allowEditEntries_id\">Allow Users to Edit and Delete Entries<\/label><label for=\"allowEditEntries_id\">\/Allow Users to Delete Comments.<\/label><\/strong><\/li>\n<li>In the <strong>Grade Settings<\/strong> field select <strong>Grade<\/strong> if you want to grade this blog.<\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>Submit<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>To create a <strong>Blog Entry<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Click <strong>Blogs<\/strong> on the <strong>Course<\/strong> <strong>Tools<\/strong> menu.<\/li>\n<li>Click the blog you wish to enter.<\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>Create<\/strong> <strong>Blog<\/strong> <strong>Entry<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Type a <strong>Title<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Enter the text in the <strong>Entry<\/strong> <strong>Message<\/strong> text box.<\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>Post<\/strong> <strong>Entry<\/strong> <strong>as<\/strong> <strong>Anonymous<\/strong> if appropriate.<\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>Browse<\/strong> <strong>My<\/strong> <strong>Computer<\/strong> or <strong>Browse<\/strong> <strong>Course<\/strong> to attach a file to the entry.<\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>Post<\/strong> <strong>Entry<\/strong> OR <strong>Save<\/strong> <strong>Entry<\/strong> <strong>as<\/strong> <strong>Draft<\/strong> to save the entry for later posting. <strong>Course Tools<\/strong> &gt; <strong>Blogs<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>While on the Blog listing page, choose the <strong>Blog\u00a0Entry <\/strong>you want to grade, by selecting the user&#8217;s name in the side panel.<\/li>\n<li>In the <strong>Blog Grade<\/strong> section, click <strong>Edit Grade<\/strong>, in order for the grading field to appear.<\/li>\n<li>Type a grade in the<strong> Current Grade<\/strong> text box.<\/li>\n<li>Optionally, type <strong>Feedback<\/strong> and <strong>Grading Notes<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>After completing everything, click <strong>Save Grade<\/strong> to add the grade.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>How to delete a <strong>Blog Entry<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Navigate to <strong>Course Management<\/strong> &gt; <strong>Course Tools<\/strong> &gt; <strong>Blogs<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>While on the Blog listing page, find the <strong>Blog\u00a0Entry <\/strong>you want to delete.<\/li>\n<li>Click the contextual menu.<\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>Delete<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>A pop-up window will appear.<\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>OK<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.acg.edu\/web\/blackboard\/files\/2014\/11\/View-Drafts.png\" rel=\"lightbox-4\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"  wp-image-3387 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/www.acg.edu\/web\/blackboard\/files\/2014\/11\/View-Drafts.png\" alt=\"View Drafts\" width=\"254\" height=\"140\" srcset=\"https:\/\/web.acg.edu\/web\/blackboard\/files\/2014\/11\/View-Drafts.png 528w, https:\/\/web.acg.edu\/web\/blackboard\/files\/2014\/11\/View-Drafts-300x165.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 254px) 100vw, 254px\" \/><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>View and modify Drafts<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In the creation of a Blog Entry you have the option to <strong>Save<\/strong> <strong>Entry<\/strong> <strong>as<\/strong> <strong>Draft<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>This option instead of publishing the blog entry, it saves it for later use.<\/li>\n<li>To access a Draft, navigate to the Blog page and click the <strong>View Drafts<\/strong> button.<\/li>\n<li>While inside the <strong>Drafts<\/strong> page, you can see all blog entries that you saved as drafts, modify or publish them.<\/li>\n<li>In order to access a draft, click on it.<\/li>\n<li>While inside you can modify it and save it again as a draft by clicking the <strong>Save<\/strong> <strong>Entry<\/strong> <strong>as<\/strong> <strong>Draft<\/strong> button or publish it by clicking <strong>Post Entry<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>View Blog Information and Details<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The information about the blog can be found on the right part of your screen.<\/li>\n<li>If you click the <strong>Blog Details<\/strong>, you can reveal details about your blog. These details are:\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Author<\/strong>: Who created this blog.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Type<\/strong>: Type of the blog.
