The questions of the test should be authored offline in a specially formatted text file and then uploaded into test, surveys and question pools. These questions, can be then edited and authored in the system.<\/p>\n<p>Use a free test generator to turn your test file in a compatible format so as to import it in Blackboard Learn tests. The generator sites mentioned below are not created nor supported by ACG or Blackboard. Keep in mind that they may not be updated by the providers. The links are provided for your information only, thus use them at your own discretion.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Step 1:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Visit the generator:<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><a style=\"color: #ff9900; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/ed.oc.edu\/blackboardquizgenerator\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Oklahoma Christian University<\/a><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Creates editable Tests.<\/li>\n<li>It can create Multiple Choice, Multiple Answer, True\/False, Essay, Fill in the Blank and Matching questions.<\/li>\n<li>Click the &#8220;click the question mark for detailed instructions&#8221; <strong>?<\/strong> icon for detailed instructions on how to use it. Navigate the various tabs to complete the whole process from General Instructions to Upload to Blackboard Test Area\/Pool Area.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>OR<\/strong><\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/resources.online.nwtc.edu\/blackboard\/test-generator\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #f79502; text-decoration: underline;\">Northeast Wisconsin Technical College <\/span><\/a><\/span><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Creates editable Tests.<\/li>\n<li>It can create Multiple Choice, Multiple Answer, True\/False, Essay, Matching and Ordering questions.<\/li>\n<li>Check the Instructional Videos (Step 1 and 2).<\/li>\n<li><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Use Google Chrome<\/span> <\/strong>for this generator does not work with Mozilla Firefox.<\/li>\n<li>Click the <strong>Help<\/strong> button and then the <strong>Show me an Example<\/strong> button. There you can download the format your file should have.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Follow the general guidelines mentioned below:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Don&#8217;t add tables.<\/li>\n<li>Do not use auto-numbered or auto-lettered lists in your word processor<\/li>\n<li>Do not text formatting i.e. not bold. underline e.t.c.<\/li>\n<li>Do not include blank lines between records. The blank line will be processed and return an error.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>After you have created your file, copy and paste its content in the the generator&#8217;s text box and click <strong>Generate<\/strong>. Then, click <strong>Download<\/strong> to download your file in the correct format for Blackboard test upload.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In case you get an error using the Northeast Wisconsin Technical College test generator you may use\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cod.edu\/it\/blackboard\/testgenerators.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">alternate Blackboard Learn Test Generators<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Another way to create a file with test questions ready for upload is to<span style=\"color: #f79502;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #f79502;\" href=\"https:\/\/help.blackboard.com\/Learn\/Instructor\/Tests_Pools_Surveys\/Reuse_Questions\/Upload_Questions\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> follow the instructions provided by Blackboard.<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Step 2:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Import your file in your Blackboard course:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Visit your Blackboard course and the <strong>Control Panel.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>Course Tools &gt; Tests, Surveys and Pools.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>Tests<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Click the <strong>Build Test<\/strong> button. In the <strong>Test Information<\/strong> page fill in the <strong>Name<\/strong> field and provide information about the test in the <strong>Description<\/strong> textbox and the relevant <strong>Instruction<\/strong> in the Instructions text box below.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Submit<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Click the <strong>Upload Questions<\/strong> button<\/li>\n<li>Click on <strong>Browse<\/strong> to select your generated (.txt) file. In the <strong>Points per question<\/strong> field add the value of the test questions. The default is 10.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Submit.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The questions are now imported in your Bb test and you are able to edit them separately.
