The menu provides you with quick access to your courses and your personal information settings.<\/span><\/p><p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">1)\u00a0<strong>Courses<\/strong> &#8211; Find all the courses to which you are registered at the moment (the same can be seen by clicking the Courses tab at the initial page).<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\"><strong>Keep in mind: <\/strong>Students are enrolled in their Bb courses after the end of online late registration and at the latest by the first day of classes. If you cannot see your course for any reason, notify your Professor.\u00a0He\/she will make sure that you are enrolled in the Blackboard course or that the course is on and available for the students to see.<\/span><\/p><p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">2) <strong>Tools<\/strong> \u2013 Find links that gives you access the following:<\/span><\/p><ul><li><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">Announcements<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">Send Email<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">User Directory<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">3)\u00a0<strong>Settings<\/strong> &#8211; Find links that allows you to make changes according to your preferences <u>(see Settings table)<\/u>.<\/span><\/p><p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">At the end of the menu we have two more features:<\/span><\/p><ul><li><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">Home<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">Help &#8211; supports you with help in Blackboard through manuals, tutorials and more.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><table class=\"CSSTableGenerator alignleft\" style=\"height: 233px;\" width=\"1379\"><tbody><tr><th><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">Settings Table<\/span><\/th><th><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">Description<\/span><\/th><\/tr><tr><td><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">Change Text Size<\/span><\/td><td><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">Use the instructions given to change the text size according to browser<\/span><\/td><\/tr><tr><td><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">High Contrast Setting<\/span><\/td><td><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">Click it if you want to use your operating system&#8217;s high contrast or keep the Blackboard style<\/span><\/td><\/tr><tr><td><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">Personal Information<\/span><\/td><td><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">Edit personal information by changing the appropriate fields, change your password and specify which fields of your personal information should be publicly available<\/span><\/td><\/tr><tr><td><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">Edit Notifications Settings<\/span><\/td><td><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">Manage notification settings for the courses you are enrolled in<\/span><\/td><\/tr><tr><td><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">Notification Dashboard<\/span><\/td><td><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">By clicking it, you go to your initial Blackboard environment where you can see the notifications for all the courses you are enrolled. These notifications appear in different modules that you can add, remove and customize<\/span><\/td><\/tr><tr><td><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">Privacy and Terms of Use<\/span><\/td><td><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">Blackboard will collect, use, and store your personal information that is necessary to use this application and the related functionalities. Blackboard handles this information on behalf of your institution.<\/span><\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">3. <strong>Log out<\/strong>: The Log out button <a style=\"color: #ffffff;\" title=\"Logout\" href=\"http:\/\/www.acg.edu\/web\/blackboard\/files\/2014\/10\/Capture51.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer lightbox-1\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.acg.edu\/web\/blackboard\/files\/2014\/10\/Capture51.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"37\" height=\"28\" \/><\/a> is located at the upper right corner of your page. It logs you out of the Blackboard platform and closes your page in the Blackboard server. Always remember to <strong>LOG OUT<\/strong> when you finish, in order to deactivate your account.<\/span><\/p><p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">4. <strong>Quick Links<\/strong> <a style=\"color: #ffffff;\" title=\"Quick Links\" href=\"http:\/\/www.acg.edu\/web\/blackboard\/files\/2014\/10\/Capture52.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer lightbox-2\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.acg.edu\/web\/blackboard\/files\/2014\/10\/Capture52.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"20\" height=\"22\" \/><\/a> &#8211; It gives you an outline of the page you currently are. By clicking the icon, a pop-up window opens that displays all of the page landmarks and headings, allowing you to select one and jump directly to that location within the page. A <strong>term<\/strong> is mainly a label with a date range which will be used to define ACG&#8217;s semesters, terms, sessions, e.t.c. It will also be associated with Academic Societies and Student Services. The Terms are used for organization and classification purposes.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">To be able to view the Terms, you first need to enable them within the respective module. To do this, follow the steps below:<\/span><\/p><ul><li><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">Log in to Blackboard Learn.<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">Visit the &#8220;<strong>My Courses&#8221;<\/strong> module (the gear button) in the My Institution tab or the &#8220;<strong>Course List&#8221; <\/strong>module (the gear button) on the Courses tab.<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">Click the &#8220;<strong>Manage My Courses Module Settings<\/strong>.&#8221;<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">Check the<strong> &#8220;Group by Term&#8221;
