The Heritage Greece  Program is made possible by a generous gift of the National Hellenic  Society to selected Greek-American students as part of its mission to  celebrate and preserve Greek heritage in the United States through the  support of programs that impact young Greek-Americans. The entire  program is offered at no cost to selected students. The only expense to  students is the travel to Washington DC.<\/p>\n<p>The Heritage Greece Program is hosted by DEREE \u2013 The American College of Greece located in Athens, Greece. Selected <a title=\"us participants\" href=\"http:\/\/www.acg.edu\/web\/heritagegreece2013blog\/us-participants\/\">Greek American students<\/a> will have the chance to travel to Greek islands, traditional villages,  and cultural and archaeological sites. They will learn Greek dancing,  taste Greek authentic cuisine, and have the opportunity to learn more  about modern Greece. To further enrich the experience, selected <a title=\"Greek participants\" href=\"http:\/\/www.acg.edu\/web\/heritagegreece2013blog\/greek-participants\/\">Greek college students <\/a>will  journey with Greek American students during the entire program \u2013  providing an opportunity to make friends and learn more about modern  Greece.
