<p>PIERCE alumnus Loukas Mexis&#8217; (&#8217;01) <em>Flat Track, </em>his<em> </em>debut novel in English,<em> </em>captures the essence of flat track racing today. It is a mostly fictitious account, mixed with some personal experiences, of a boy growing up in California and coming of age by competing in the oval track races, inspired by the legends of the 1960s and ‘70s. <em> </em></p>

<p>Liana Kallierou (PIERCE &#8217;58, DEREE ‘88), presented her two books <em>The Journey of Women after Forty (</em>by Kastaniotis publishers, also published in English in 2011 by AuthorHouse Publishing) and<em> Man, the Beloved Stranger</em> (by Pataki Publications) at ACG on December 4 at DEREE&#8217;s John S. Bailey Upper Level Library &#8211; an event organised by ACG&#8217;s Office of Development &amp; Alumni Relations &amp; the ACG Alumni Association.  <em> </em></p>
