Catherine Chazapi (PIERCE ‘92, DEREE ‘96) visited DEREE – The American College of Greece on February 4th to present her family company ATTIKI BEE Culturing Co, ALEX.PITTAS SA to the Marketing Topics & Strategies class, headed by DEREE Professor Dr. Vivi Sarantidou, (who is also the Head of the academic Marketing Department) offering students a unique opportunity.
Ms Chazapi presented her company’s business model, and briefed students on how they can work on her company’s new product line “Tahini with Greek Honey.” The students were offered the opportunity to work on a real case project: to develop a three-year marketing plan for the specific product line, as part of their work for their capstone project.
The DEREE marketing students will visit Attiki Bee Culturing Co, where they will be given a tour of the company, and meet with its CEO, Ms Alexandra Pitta-Chazapi (PIERCE ’67), who is also a member of the American College of Greece’s Development Advisory Committee, and a Founding member of IforU – the Greek mentoring network supporting young women entrepreneurs.
Ms Pitta-Chazapi, a recipient of numerous awards, is also a Member of the Board of the Athens Chamber of Commerce & Industry and President of the Export Sector, as well as Member of the Board and Vice President of the Panhellenic Exporters Association (PSE).
