Congratulations to PIERCE’s Pole Position team – made up of students and alumni – who won second place overall in the national “Formula 1 in Schools 2013-2014” competition, making it through to the “World Championship F1 in Schools,” taking place in Abu Dhabi in November.
The team also won “Best Mechanical Construction of an F! Model,” making a one-seater F1 model.
The team is made up of PIERCE students Constantinos Hondrogiannis (Freshman A’ Lyceum), George Papagiannis ((Freshman A’ Lyceum), and PIERCE 2013 alumni Kyriakos Hondrogiannis and George Sideris.
