PIERCE 9th and 10th grade (C Gymnasium and A Lyceum) students will be able to once again take advantage of PIERCE’s e-tutoring online program free of charge – the only such program in Greece.
Taught by experienced PIERCE professors, who have been trained in e-tutoring, students wishing to benefit from the program are tutored in Ancient Greek Language and Math four times a week (Monday through Thursday), two hours daily (from 19:00 to 21:00). Students and professors connect online via computer or tablet in a secure teleconference environment.
The program began in late September and will wrap up after exams in June. PIERCE’s e-tutoring, in its third year, is yet another pioneering service offered to PIERCE students. The results of its first year of operation, when it ran as a pilot program, were presented in two conferences – at the 12th Information Technology-Based Higher Education and Training event and at the Seventh Open and Distance Learning conference.
