Renowned Psychotherapist & Cornell Professor Dr Frank Yeomans, MD, PhD, to Lecture and Hold workshop at DEREE-ACG on Transference-Focused Psychotherapy

The School of Graduate and Professional Education of DEREE – The American College of Greece is hosting Dr Frank Yeomans, who will on February 12 deliver a lecture – which is open and free to the public – entitled “The Treatment Contract in Transference-Focused Psychotherapy (TFP): Establishing the Goals and conditions of Therapy in Treating Patients with Personality Disorders.”

The three-day workshop by Dr Yeomans, MD, PhD, will focus on “Transference-Focused Psychotherapy: An Evidence-based Treatment for Borderline Personality Disorder,” the first workshop on the subject in Greece, and will take place on February 12-14 at DEREE – The American College of Greece.

Deadline for registration is February 6.

Piano at its Forte

The concerts series will this year be hosted at The American College of Greece through May 2015, and features a slew of distinguished soloists.

There will also be two special concerts. The first special concert takes place Saturday, January 31: “Piano at its Forte JUNIOR,” featuring three pianists aged 12-14: Katerina Katamadze, Chara Tsipizidou, and Stathis Papadiamantopoulos.

The main calendar features:

The Director of the Thessaloniki Piano Festival, Charalambos Aggelopoulos, who will perform a solo on Wednesday, February 25.

Alexia Mouza-Arenas will perform her solo on Saturday, March 21.

Pianist-conductor-poet, Nikos Laaris, will perform his solo on Saturday, April 18.

The main series will be brought to an end by the extraordinary piano duo Pincetic-Sakellaridis, on Wednesday, May 13.

On Wednesday, April 1, enjoy a second special concert – an All-Mozart-Evening with the Athens Youth Symphony (ASON), collaborating with exceptional soloists in three Mozart piano concertos; Giorgos Konstantinou, Agathe Leimoni, and Dimitri Vassilakis will play Mozart concertos KV 453, 466, and 488 respectively, with the ASON Orchestra under the direction of Pantelis Kogiamis.
