PIERCE Basketball students also make basketball dream come true
Kudos to six PIERCE students who are on swimming scholarships and won 15 medals (8 gold, 3 silver and 4 bronze) at the 22nd Christmas Cup that took place in Patra 12-14 December. The swimmers, who are also part of the DEREE College Athletic Club (DCAC), made impressive times, some even breaking their own personal records.
Congratulations to Xanthi and Zoi Mitsakou, Chrisanthi Sarasiti, Anastasia Bahtalia, Christos Skarakis, and Calypso Oikonomidou who took part alongside over 540 athletes from 50 federations around Greece, as well as swimmers from Cyprus and France.
Congratulations are also in order for three PIERCE students – Fokioni Gikas, Nikos Saltelis and Giannis Petropoulos, who are on basketball scholarships and members of the DEREE College Athletic Club (DCAC) as well, who have been asked to play in the Southern Greece U-15 Pre-national Team.
