Welcome to the September issue of Touch Base, your official Alumni e-Newsletter issued by The American College of Greece’s Office of Development & Alumni Relations.

We’d like to take this opportunity to say thank you for your continued support of and interest in your alma mater, ACG.

This month’s issue is filled with exciting news and features alumni making a name for themselves in their fields through their numerous publications and interviews with major news outlets as well as ACG alumni and staff who have published new books.

It has been a very prolific year indeed, but also one where students and their families in Greece have had to face an even bigger financial crunch.

In this issue, we outline all the ways in which ACG is making a difference in the lives of its students, offering scholarships, housing and other opportunities to help with some of the burden.

ACG President Dr. David G. Horner outlines all these wonderful initiatives in his letter, which are then expanded on in our Alumni News  and ACG Spotlight sections.

This year ACG is also celebrating 140 years since its’ founding in Smyrna by American missionaries from Boston.

Keep an eye on our Calendar section for events being planned, which will be announced here and on the ACG site once more information is available.

And, just to be sure, don’t forget to update your profile here – also to be forwarded to those alumni who you know are not registered with us – so as many alumni as possible are informed on reunions, other happenings, important news and much, much, more as we help you stay in touch with old classmates and stay abreast of developments at ACG.

Please also be advised that the Office of Development & Alumni Relations has recently relocated to the former space occupied by Eleftheroudakis Bookstore, across from the ACG Main Gate. Feel free to drop by!
