The Getbusy Finals were successfully held on Sunday, June 15 at the ALBA Graduate Business School.

Through the online quiz, participants competed for important educational prizes offered by prestigious academic institutions, such as DEREE and ALBA, as well as key companies, such as PEOPLECERT, and were tested on material provided on Getbusy.gr (Digital Skills, Corporate Social Responsibility, Entrepreneurship, Professional & Career Development).

In its second consecutive year, the Getbusy.gr online contest attracted 5,000 contenders, with the 80 top-scorers then competing with each other (in computer-based exams) and in groups (entrepreneurship-case study) during the Getbusy Finals where they vied for the following educational prizes:

Ten (10) full and partial scholarships for Bachelor’s degrees by DEREE, twenty-one (21) scholarships for Master’s degrees by the ALBA Graduate Business School and the Athens Information Technology, 300 ECDL certifications by PEOPLECERT, and Professional and Career Development Seminars by ManpowerGroup Greece.

For the development of the final exams and for the integrity of the exam process, a scientific committee has been set up since the inception of the Getbusy.gr initiative. Among others, members of the scientific committee are Professor Nikos Mylonopoulos from ALBA, former CIS DEREE Professor who is now ACG’s Executive Director of Alumni & Parent Relations Manos Varouhas, and Professor Ilias Hotzoglou from DEREE.

Through Getbusy.gr, more than 13,000 people have been trained, while almost 130,000 young people have visited the website.

For its extensive reach, the GetBusy initiative has been recognized at the European CSR Awards and is one of the pledges of the Grand Coalition for Digital Jobs.
