Recognition of Professional Rights for ACG Master’s Graduates
ACG alumni with a Master’s degree from DEREE and ALBA will be pleased to note that their professional rights are now recognized by the competent Greek Authority (SAEP) – under the new law (Article 49 of Law 4264/2014) – as equivalent to those with Master’s degreesgranted from Greek Universities.
PIERCE May Reunion of 1944, 1954 & 1964
Alumnae from the PIERCE Classes of ‘44, ‘54, ‘64 and Upper Division came together to reminisce about their school days on May 29 at the PIERCE campus, reconnecting with classmates 70, 60 and 50 years from their graduation!
DEREE 2014 Commencement
The 2014 DEREE Commencement was held on Saturday, June 28 at the ACG stadium in a heartwarming atmosphere of joy and excitement. Amid applause and cheers from thousands of parents, friends and faculty, over 300 DEREE graduating students received their Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the President of The American College of Greece, Dr. David G. Horner.

2014 AAA Honorees
Ten outstanding alumni from PIERCE, DEREE and ALBA who have excelled in their respective fields of activity, one prominent member of the Greek Diaspora and one foundation which actively supports ACG and academia will be honored at our Alumni Achievement Awards recognition event on Friday, September 12 at 20:00 at The American College of Greece, Irene Bailey Open Air Theater, Ag. Paraskevi Campus.

DEREE wraps up four-city road show
DEREE concluded its successful tour of four regional Greek cities with a visit to Corfu on May 11, where ACG President Dr. David G. Horner, Dr. Dimitrios Andreou, the College’s vice president of administration and enrollment, and a number of alumni, students, and DEREE executives presented the College’s programs and unique opportunities for students.
Alumnus George Sofronis becomes Saronikos Mayor
We would like to note the election of DEREE alumnus Mr George Sofronis (DEREE ‘03, Major Economics) as Mayor of the Municipality of Saronikos in May 2014.
