Maria Chalkia (DEREE ’89) is now Senior Learning Consultant at Piraeus Group’s Human Resources & Organizational Learning, and has a wealth of experience as Learning Consultant and trainer at Piraeus Bank in Athens, while she has also worked at Xiosbank as a Branch Supervisor and Customer Service Representative. Ms Chalkia has also served as a Personal Banking Officer & Customer Service at the National Westminster Bank in Athens.
She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from DEREE in 1989.
Alexandra Christodoulopoulou (DEREE ’90) is now Vice President, Sourcing, at FMS Wertmanagement in Munich, after previously working as Vendor Manager at Media Saturn in Ingolstadt and several years at Eurobank in Athens – where she worked as IT Contract Manager, IT Project Office Manager – in Group IT, in Retail Banking, and as Senior IT Project Leader. Ms Christodoulopoulou also worked as Manager at KANTOR Management Consultants in Athens, and as Integration Manager at the Standard Chartered Bank in London.
She earned her MSc in Accounting & Finance from DEREE in 1990, followed by her MBA from the London Business School in 1995.
Dimitrios Papadimitriou (DEREE ’91) is now SAP Data Manager at British American Tobacco in London. He has taken his technical data migration background and put it to good use in project management roles, which include Project Manager at the Volkswagen Group UK Ltd, Parts500 Programme, as well as EVP Programme: Data Migration Manager (Greece Country Lead) for Vodafone, as well as HCM Data Migration Consultant for ATOS Origin, and similar work for Johnson & Johnson (Interfacing consultant for Convergys). He has also worked for three years as Regional Team Lead/Data Migration consultant at TNT Express, as Interfaces consultant at Boots, and has also worked at d.d.synergy Hellas, at the Hellenic Aerospace Industry, at Norsk Hydro, at OKI Printing Solutions, and at SAP Hellas.
Mr Papadimitriou earned his BSc in Business Administration, with a major in Computer Information Systems from DEREE in 1991, followed by his MSc in Software Systems Technology in 1992 from the University of Sheffield.
Dimitrios Bizanos (DEREE ’94) is now Head of Internal Audit & Regulatory Compliance at AssetWise Capital Management SA. Mr Bizanos has considerable experience in the financial sector, having worked at Eurobank Ergasias SA as Group Corporate Governance & Corporate Secretariat Officer as well as at EFG Eurobank Equities, initially as Account Officer and later as Head of Clients Contracts Control. He has also held the positions of Back-Office Executive at Attica Hermes Securities SA and Head of Fixed Income Desk at Cyclos Securities SA.
Mr Bizanos earned his BSc in Business Administration, Accounting & Finance from DEREE in 1994, followed by his MSc in Finance from the University of Strathclyde in 2000.
Socratis Ploussas (DEREE ’95) is now CEO at PARNASSE SA and a member of the board and CEO at Mellon Advisory. He is also the Founding Vice President of the Hellenic Start-up Association (since September 2011). Mr Ploussas is also the owner and managing partner of IPMC Partners, since 2010. Previously, he also co-founded and directed Neovent in London, was a Principal in Nova Capital Partners in New York, worked at Fourlis Trade as Marketing Manager, in Greece, and worked for PLIAS SA and Coca-Cola HBC.
Mr Ploussas earned his BSc in Marketing Management from DEREE in 1995, followed by his MBA from Henley Management College in 2001.
Kostas Bampasikas (PIERCE ‘98/DEREE ’04) has become Research Manager, Consumer & Business, at Etisalat UAE, after working as Account Director at TNS MENA and as Senior Account Manager at TNS Middle East in Dubai as well.
Mr. Bampasikas began his career at The American College of Greece where he worked as a lab assistant in Experimental Psychology, while pursuing his BSc in Psychology. He has also worked for CENTRUM Research in Athens as an Associate Research Manager, as a Senior Research Executive and as a Research Executive.
Mr Bampasikas graduated from PIERCE College in 1998, and earned both his BA in Psychology from DEREE and his BSc in Economics from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in 2004. He also earned his MSc in Research Methods in Psychology from the University of Bristol in 2005, and last year his PhD in Social Psychology from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
Eva Pagoulatos (DEREE ’04) is now Adjunct Professor at Southern New Hampshire University. The Florida-Licensed Clinical Psychologist has also worked at The Center for Precious Minds in Boca Raton, FL and at Marie T. Rogers, PhD, PA & Jill Selbach, PhD, PA in Lighthouse Point, Florida. She has taught fulltime at the Southern New Hampshire University since April 2013, and as adjunct faculty from September 2011 until April 2013. She has also taught at the Carlos Albizu University in Miami and worked as Chief Intern at the Goodman Psychological Services Center for a year in 2009-2010.
Ms Pagoulatos earned her BA in Psychology from DEREE in 2004, followed by her MS in Psychology from Carlos Albizu University in Miami (2006), and her Psy.D (Doctor of Psychology) from the same university in 2010.
Nikolaos Chatzikonstantinou (DEREE ’12) is now Account Manager at IronFX GLOBAL Limited, after working at the Embassy of Canada in Athens as Contractor of Section of the Trade Commissioner Service, and previously at Odysseus Business Consultants – in Athens – as Assistant in the NSRF (National Strategic Reference Framework) Business Plans Team, amid other work.
Mr Chatzikonstantinou studied at DEREE, earning his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with a specialization in Accounting & Finance in 2012. While at DEREE, he was also the recipient of the College Life Leadership Award for 2012, and was very active at the College as Treasurer of the DEREE Student Activities Board, winning the Outstanding Member Award for 2012. He organized and implemented College events such as Thanksgiving Dinner, Grad night, and monitored and managed the organization’s budget. He also served as Student Coordinator, DEREE Orientation Leader, receiving an honorable mention for outstanding participation, and has been involved with DEREE Ambassadors.
Panos Lekkas (DEREE ‘14) is now a Marketing Associate at Unixfor SA, while also working as a Marketing and Communications Specialist at Future Solutions. In the past, he worked at Dixons South East Europe (Kotsovolos) and as Creative Director & Web Administrator for Knockout Productions in Athens.
Mr. Lekkas earned his Bachelor’s in Communication from DEREE this year.
