DEREE – The American College of Greece is pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with Weber Shandwick, a world-leading public relations and communication firm that has been named 2014 Global Agency of the Year by the Holmes Report.
This pioneering cooperation aims at offering students of the MA in Strategic Communication & Public Relations the opportunity to work in a real business environment. Through internships and participation in focus groups as well brainstorming sessions, students of the Master’s Program will be able to gain hands-on experience, and also conduct research and work in real-time in the development of communication campaigns.
In this capacity, Weber Shandwick will be offering internship positions to students of the program selected in cooperation with DEREE, while members of the Weber Shandwick team will deliver lectures and participate in thesis- examining committees as external members.
Moreover, the two parties will jointly create an innovative course that will incorporate the above-mentioned activities, and will explore further collaboration possibilities in a Strategic Communication Think Tank, while also working toward developing synergies that will be beneficial overall for education in the field of Communication.
