“Establishing a Senior Class Giving Culture at DEREE” Project Award Ceremony
Congratulations to the students who took part in the Establishing a Senior Class Giving (SCG) Culture Project competition, which was celebrated at an awards ceremony at the 7th level auditorium on Wednesday, June 17 amid much fanfare, and which concluded with a presentation of the inspiring winning project by the student team Leave Your Mark Behind (John Partheniou-team leader, Karina Vasileiadi and Tatiana Argyropoulou).
DEREE Basketball Academy U-14 Boys Win 3rd Place in ESKA
DEREE’ U-14 boys basketball team had a great performance in the ESKA Final-4 held June 13-14 at the DEREE Gym, winning 3rd place in a tournament in which 108 teams participated!
PIERCE’s X. Mitsakou Wins Gold at Swimming Nationals
Congratulations to PIERCE swimming scholar Xanthi Mitsakou (also part of the DEREE Swimming Academy) for winning gold at the Panhellenic School Tournament, held at the Nea Smyrni Swimming Pool in Athens on April 29-30.
PIERCE’s Tennis Scholars Win Top Three Places at Championships
Congratulations to PIERCE’s Tennis Scholars Nikitas Niarchos, Vaseilia Griva, and Vera Griva for winning the first three places respectively in the Panhellenic championships held in Kalamata and Heraklion in March.

Sketchofrenia Competition Held @ PIERCE
Students from around Greece took part in PIERCE-The American College of Greece’s Sketchofrenia competition, submitting sketches, caricatures and cartoons for the creatively explosive event that was held under the auspices of the Greek secondary education authorities, and with the theme “I have a Dream…” in late April.
