Well done to the group of alumnae from DEREE and PIERCE, all jewelry and fashion designers, who teamed up with the Jenny Karezi Relief Unit from the Medical School of the National Kapodistrian University of Athens to raise funds for the unit in a high profile Fashion for Life event held June 13 in downtown Athens.
Alumnae Ioanna Pitsouni (PIERCE ’95), Florence Armine Tokatlian (PIERCE ‘94/ DEREE ’98, History), Christina P. Mallaki (DEREE ’00, BSc. Marketing Management), Joy (Hara) Koumentakou (DEREE ’01 – BSc. Marketing Management), and Christina Harokopou (DEREE ’90 BA Sociology) designed the jewelry and clothes for the event, which was well attended.
Organized under the auspices of the ACG Alumni Association (PIERCE & DEREE), half of the proceeds were allocated to the Jenny Karezi Relief Unit to boost its work, offering free care for long-term sufferers of cancer and other serious illnesses.
Actress Marianna Toumasatou, who is the Face of the Fashion for Life campaign, was photographed wearing clothes and jewelry by the designers, in order to promote the line, which will be on sale for another six months to further boost the work of the Jenny Karezi Relief Unit.
Fashion for Life was held on a sunny Saturday, June 13 at the downtown Athens City Bar, City Link and gathered quite a few people who graciously helped with the good cause and got to own beautiful and exclusive ACG alumnae designer items!
