On April 7-8, ACG hosted the annual student-organized Pierce Open House event, a celebration of teamwork, solidarity, and contribution to the community! It is one of the College’s strongest traditions, and a testimony of our motto, “Non ministrari, sed ministrare” – to serve, not to be served.
ACG was delighted to open its doors and welcome more than 4,000 guests including alumni, parents, students, faculty, staff, and more! It was a full two days of fun-filled activities and events, from basketball games between alumni, treasure hunts, and talent shows, to Ted-ED Club student presentations, bazaars, music, and delicious treats!
Carrying on from the tradition of previous years, Pierce students joined forces in a tremendous show of commitment and compassion to raise money for the Pierce Scholarship Fund, and to support the Alexandra Hospital Wing for Abandoned Newborns, the ELPIDA Association of Friends of Children with Cancer, and the Soup Kitchen of Aghia Paraskevi.
The event could not have been possible without the generous help and support of the 116 partner companies and the hard work of the Pierce Gymnasium and Lyceum Student Councils. With their valuable contribution we raised €102,025 ($109,362.43) in cash and in-kind donations, breaking last year’s fundraising record!
A big thank you to everyone who helped make
Pierce Open House 2017 such a success!
