Natalia Romulus (DEREE ’88) has become Scientific Communications Manager at Elais – Unilever Hellas SA after working as Brand Builder at Elais – Unilever Hellas SA for five years.
She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at DEREE in 1988, followed by her MBA from the University of La Verne in 1990.
Maria Sevastaki (PIERCE ‘90 & DEREE ’98) is now B2B Advisor-Certified Consultant at INTERAMERICAN. Previously, Ms Sevastaki was Marketing & Media Office Coordinator at Zita Congress, and also worked as Administrator & HR Manager at the SPECIAL OLYMPICS in Athens in 2011, but really cut her teeth as a PR & HR Consultant at TRADEMCO SA (ex Latsis Group) for seven years beginning in September 2000, among other jobs.
Ms Sevastaki graduated from PIERCE in 1990, and then earned a Bachelor’s degree in Management from DEREE in 1998, as well as a law degree from the Law School of Athens, National Kapodistrian University in 1996, followed by her MBA from EEDE – The Hellenic Management Association – in 2000.
Stefanos Thomaidis (DEREE ’91) is now working as Senior Salesforce Architect/Consultant/Implementer at Active Computer Systems SA and at Pascal Strouza SA. He also has 12 years under his belt working around Europe implementing Salesforce. Mr Thomaidis earned his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems from DEREE in 1991.
Lefteris Tsolakis (DEREE ’94) has become Senior Learning Consultant at Piraeus Bank after working as Learning Consultant with the Piraeus Bank Group for seven years. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Management/Organizational Behavior from DEREE in 1994, before earning his MBA in International Business from the University of Exeter in 1996.
Socratis Ploussas (DEREE ’95) is now CEO at Mellon Advisory, and remains Founding Vice President at Hellenic Start-up Association, as well as Managing Partner at IPMC Partners. Previously, Mr. Ploussas co-founded and was a Director at NEOVENT – business @cceleration, a Principal at Nova Capital Partners, and Marketing Manager at FOURLIS TRADE. He began his studies at Leontio Lykeio, followed by DEREE, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Marketing Management in 1995. Mr Ploussas also received his MBA in International Business from Henley Management College in 2001.
Elly Andriopoulou (DEREE ’97) has been named Chief Operating Officer at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center, after previously serving as Assistant co-COO at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation. Her career was built at Citibank where she went from Service Quality Assistant all the way to Marketing Director at Citi Greece / Citigroup before joining the charitable foundation. She has also worked for Oliver Wyman in Boston, MA, consulting Fortune 500 companies on strategy, revenue growth, restructuring, and organizational design.
She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from DEREE – The American College of Greece in 1997, followed by her MBA at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management in 2001. Ms Andriopoulou also studied at Athens College High-School (1987–1993).
Sofia Kouzinopoulou (DEREE ’99) has joined the HR team at Facebook London, UK, after previously working as Human Resources Director, Europe for FremantleMedia.
She has several years of experience gained with leading consulting firms – such as PA Consulting Group, Accenture and Deloitte & Touche with particular expertise in outsourcing, organizational development and change management. She has also worked at HRBP International Engineering, EU & APAC.
Ms Kouzinopoulou earned her Bachelor’s degree in Marketing Management from DEREE in 1999, followed by a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Human Resources Management from the University of Oxford – Said Business School, where she was a Leyland Scholar.
John Lantouris (JUNIOR ’00, DEREE ’05) is now ITSM Project Manager @ Capgemini, Utrecht, Netherlands after working as a consultant and engineer at various companies globally. Mr. Lantouris got his Associate in Business Administration degree from Junior in 2000, followed by a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems from DEREE in 2005.
George Xintarakis (DEREE ’01,’13). Following a decade in Automotive and Financial Services, George Xintarakis has evolved into a new position at LeasePlan Hellas SA as Business Unit Director for Small-Medium Enterprises. He earned both his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting & Finance (2001) and his MSc in Leadership (2013) from DEREE. Mr. Xintarakis spends his spare time with family and friends and also enjoys playing basketball with his sons. He is married to Chrisa Zika and is the father of two sons, aged nine and eight.
Paris Savva (DEREE ’03) has become Operations Manager at Earthgoodies Ltd after serving as Account Manager at HS Data Ltd for six years.
He double majored in Marketing and Advertising at DEREE, earning his Bachelor degrees in 2003.
Sandy Zisimopoulou (DEREE ’04) is now Head of Group Reporting at Marken, in London, United Kingdom, after previously serving as Senior Finance Manager at Microsoft for close to two years in Reading, United Kingdom. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance from DEREE in 2004.
Jolanta Wos (DEREE ’05) has become an IT Analyst @ Cisco Systems, Amsterdam, Netherlands after working as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Amsterdam, as well as at project management cases at Eurobank. Ms Wos earned her Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems from DEREE in 2005, followed by her MSc in Business Information Studies from the University of Amsterdam in 2013.
Sotiris Poulimenos (DEREE ’13) is now a Research Assistant at the International Center for Cooperation and Conflict Resolution (ICCCR) in New York, USA after previously working as Marketing Director & Customer Relations at St. Virger – Beverage Imports – and in several positions at the National Bank of Greece.
While at DEREE, Mr Poulimenos earned his Bachelor’s degree in International Business and European Affairs in 2013, and received numerous grants and scholarships, including the Propeller Club 2011-2012 academic scholarship award.
“In difficult times, having true friends to stand by you is of utmost importance,” says Poulimenos, adding, “Through the grants and scholarships program, The American College of Greece and its generous donors helped me pursue a better future that would have otherwise remained an unfulfilled dream.”
He also holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Food Science and Technology from the Agricultural University of Athens (2007) and is now a graduate student at Teachers College, Columbia University, pursuing his Master of Arts in Social and Organizational Psychology.
