A big welcome and kudos to the 2014 Graduating class of the ALBA Graduate Business School, made up of 191 students who received their degrees amid much fanfare on October 9 at the PIERCE College Theatre at The American College of Greece.
ALBA President Nikos Ebeoglou welcomed students and guests to the celebratory evening in Ag. Paraskevi, while academic heads from nine different graduate programs awarded the students their degrees, and Dean of ALBA Nickolaos Travlos also took to the stage to congratulate the students for their achievements.
The Head of the Hellenic Federation of Enterprises (SEV) Theodore Fessas, who is also the Chairman of Quest Holdings SA, was the keynote speaker at the 2014 ALBA Commencement, prodding the graduates to dare in their lives, even if it means making mistakes.
The student with the highest grade in the year, Sotiris Ntzathas, who graduated with a Master of Science degree in Finance, gave the valedictorian speech, describing the anxiety and angst of youth today and praising ALBA for showing the way.
Mr Christos Chryssostalis, representing the ALBA Alumni Association, welcomed the new graduates with a moving speech, where he encouraged them to always have a vision and be courageous.
After the ceremony, a cocktail reception followed.
