Celia Kritharioti (PIERCE ‘86) continues to make Greece and PIERCE proud, this time during Oscars Night 2015 when five famous women chose Celia Kritharioti Haute Couture for the most important night in show business.

American actress Rosemarie DeWitt, Mexican pop star Eiza Gonzales, British actress Victoria Summer, Australian actress Alyssa Sutherland, and British model and presenter Amy Willerton, wore the Greek designer’s exquisite and innovative dresses for the Vanity Fair and Elton John after-Oscar parties.

“It is a real distinction for Greek fashion to be represented in great events abroad. We all know how difficult it is, and for this reason I would like to thank my team for their well-orchestrated, intensive and systematic work,” says celebrated designer Celia Kritharioti.

Ms Kritharioti graduated from PIERCE -The American College of Greece in 1986, studied at the Athens University of Economics and Business, and today owns one of the oldest Greek fashion houses, established in 1906. She has confidently brought the house’s glorious tradition into the 21st century, and today the Celia Kritharioti House of Couture is synonymous with sophisticated elegance, designing perfection and intriguing glamour.

She has dressed the elite of powerful women and European celebrities, and been awarded for her work and contribution to the fashion industry. In Greece, Celia Kritharioti has also been chosen to design, among others, the uniforms for Olympic Air and the costumes for the Greek National Opera’s production of Romeo and Juliet.

Celia Kritharioti Haute Couture creations have been shown both in Greece and abroad by world-class top models such as Natalia Vodianova, Naomi Campbell, Iman, Giselle Bundchen, Leticia Casta, Claudia Schiffer, Elle Macpherson and Karolina Kurkova. The legendary Boys Club of New York also invited Celia to showcase her creations at the annual Fall Ball, while Vanity Fair UK has listed her as one of six couturiers to watch worldwide.

Jennifer Lopez, Paula Patton, Kim Kardashian, Kelly Rutherford, Miranda Lambert, Samantha Barks, Maria Menounos, Giuliana Rancic, Jemma Arterton and many others chose Celia Kritharioti for recent Awards seasons red carpet looks, while Gwyneth Paltrow was captured for Vogue Mexico in Celia Kritharioti Haute Couture. Jennifer Lopez also chose two Celia Kritharioti Haute Couture embroidered bodysuits for two different shows: in the Bronx and in New Jersey.
