Trustees

We are proud to say that this past year all 22 members of the ACG Board of Trustees contributed valuable time, talent and philanthropic gifts to the College. Total board financial commitments (cash and pledges) for 2014-15 were $290,099.

These generous acts serve as an example for all ACG friends, alumni, faculty, and staff and help ACG build a stronger culture of philanthropy. Philanthropy helps ACG offer the quality of education that no other educational institution in Greece can offer. It also provides, through scholarships and student financial aid, the opportunity for students to advance their knowledge and share in the ACG experience.

The American College of Greece is modeled after US institutions of higher education and is governed by non-profit principles and practices. These include the role of the Board of Trustees, whose primary responsibility is for the long- term success of the College. The men and women who serve as ACG trustees come from various professional and personal backgrounds, providing expertise and experience that help to shape strategic decisions and directions for ACG far into the future.

Service on the ACG Board of Trustees, like any other US non-profit, is voluntary, without financial compensation. A conflict of interest policy forbids any trustee from benefitting financially from their board service. Trustees are asked to contribute their time, talents and, through philanthropic gifts, treasure. Trustees often play a major role in supporting the institution financially both through their own contributions and by encouraging others to do so as well.

Thank You ACG Trustees for leading by example!
