PIERCE ’96 alumna, Katerina Aslanidou has been teaching art classes in primary and secondary education for 10 years, after graduating from the Athens School of Fine Arts.
She has had 6 solo exhibitions, and taken part in 9 group exhibitions, including a tribute to the female graduate artists of the American College of Greece, in 2006, and a touring exhibition with shows in Syros, Ioannina, Corfu, Paris, and Sao Paulo.
Ira Papapostolou, art historian and critic, said of Katerina Aslanidou’s work, “It is ultimately rendered against a background which is simultaneously realistic and dreamlike, and her work stands out for its delicate tonal scale and strict structure.”
Ms. Aslanidou’s newest solo exhibition will take place in the art gallery Peritechnon Karteris in Kolonaki. The opening is on Thursday November 19 at 19:30, and the exhibition will run until December 12.
