The academic department of Computer Information Systems (CIS) at Deree-The American College of Greece recently bolstered its membership to the SAP University Alliances program by introducing SAP technology in select courses, in a move to further reinforce academic research and teaching. With this move, students can now gain valuable knowledge and experience by using state-of-the-art enterprise information systems from one of the world’s leading companies in enterprise application software.
CIS faculty professor Kostas Leftheriotis, along with a group of eight Management Information Systems students from the Enterprise Systems course, also attended presentations and demos on SAP software products and IT solutions during the “Run Simple Truck Tour” event, which was organized by SAP Hellas in November 2015. During the field trip, our students from Deree actively engaged part in short discussions on the strategic impact of technology in businesses, showcasing their thorough understanding and knowledge of the subject.
